Chris Pine’s a keen Metallica fan, but it wasn’t his first concertHollywood Chris and star of both Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman and I Am the Night, Pine had a delightful nerd-out with Jimmy Kimmel on Friday over music, from their first concerts to Pine’s teenage band in which he rapped Vanilla Ice (and still can).

While Kimmel’s first concert was Sammy Davis Jr. in Vegas, Pine’s first concert was Faith No More, with Kyuss and Babes in Toyland. And although it wasn’t his first concert, Kimmel went to Lionel Richie with his mother.  Read more…

‘Outlaw King’ is a waste of a perfectly good Chris Pine

There are a few reasons to recommend Outlaw King, David Mackenzie’s medieval movie starring Chris Pine as Robert the Bruce.

For one, it’s pretty. Like, really pretty. Mackenzie never misses an opportunity to showcase the pristine beauty of the Scottish countryside, with its rolling hills and soft mists. There’s one particular shot of a rainbow that nearly made me gasp. 

It’s also got plenty of fighting, if you’re into that sort of thing. The film rarely goes longer than 20 minutes without a battle scene, some more doomed or more epic or more violent than others, but all convincingly choreographed to look difficult and exhausting and flat-out brutal. Do you wish Game of Thrones had way less talking and way more action? Outlaw King might be for you. Read more…

Watch Chris Pine's sexy lip sync battle on 'Saturday Night Live'

Saturday Night Live taught the world tonight that hunky superhero tough guy Chris Pine can sing

But apparently he can lip sync, too.

Pine, Bobby Moynihan, and a few other SNL regulars play grease monkeys coming to terms with their love of RuPaul’s Drag Race. 

The hammer comes down, though, when the conversation shifts to Lip Sync Battle. Pine challenges Moynihan, and, well, IT’S ON.

​Fortunately for the viewing public, the battle, featuring a lip sync to an Erika Jayne song (she’s apparently a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills!), ended with some delightful booty shaking by Pine. And, I mean, Moynihan too, but Pine. Read more…
