Cher is set to star in Lifetime’s original movie Flint, which will tell the ongoing tale of water contamination poisoning residents of a Michigan city.
On Thursday, Deadline reported that the award-winning actress will also be executive producing the TV movie along with Craig Zadan, Neil Meron, and Katie Couric, with a script by Barbara Stepansky.

The film — which will be based on a February 2016 Time cover story, “The Toxic Tap” — is set to be directed by Oscar-nominated Bruce Beresford.
Cher has voiced her concern for the water crisis and residents of Flint on social media in the past, and back in January 2016, the singer donated thousands of water bottles to aid in the crisis. Read more…
