Weezer‘s classic 1994 track “Buddy Holly” already threw back to the good ol’ days with its Happy Days-inspired music video.
But Jimmy Fallon took the song even further back in time with his barbershop quartet, The Ragtime Gals, on The Tonight Show.
Fallon always puts a little spin on his ragtime renditions, and Tuesday, the late night show host invited Weezer themselves to join the seven-piece a capella shindig.
“Buddy Holly” works incredibly well here, and sits up there with Fallon’s barbershop versions of Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like” and Sir Mix-a-Lot’s “Baby Got Back.” Read more…

It might seem foolish to challenge Jason Momoa, who plays Aquaman in the upcoming DC chapter, to a casual trident throwing challenge. But that didn’t stop Jimmy Fallon.
In the film, Aquaman is a master of the trident, and on The Tonight Show, Momoa absolutely nailed it, like he was casually playing darts in a friend’s basement. Highly impressive.
The target? Arch-villain Ocean Master, of course. Minus 20 points if you hit Nemo. Read more…

A few weeks ago, people caught wind of the fact that Ice-T had never eaten a bagel until Law and Order: SVU, when he was required to eat one. Right? Huge.
Ice-T and co-star Mariska Hargitay appeared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, where they were quizzed about the kerfuffle. For Ice-T, he just had to cop the bagel, although he didn’t actually swallow.
“On the show they wanted me to eat a bagel. I said I don’t eat bagels,” Ice-T replied. “But it was in the script, so you know I just did it. But I acted like I ate it, I didn’t eat it.”
The actor eventually did eat a bagel, explaining he recently filmed an ad for dating app Coffee Meets Bagel, where he well, didn’t enjoy it. “I ate one, I had one bite, and it felt like I ate a loaf of bread. Why would I eat an unsweetened donut?” he said. Read more…

Jimmy Fallon has never been to Olive Garden.
Fortunately he’s in the safe hands of Post Malone, who is a big time fan of the Italian-American chain. The “Rockstar” rapper showed the late show host all the delights of Post Malone-style free breadsticks, which involves taking a bite and putting hunks of butter on it.
In a segment that’s apparently totally not an ad for Olive Garden, Fallon spent most of his time being shocked at how things like breadsticks and salad were free. “How do you guys make money?” he asked.
As per the Hollywood Reporter, when the pair finished filming, they headed over to an Irish pub where Post Malone got involved in a jam night. Sounds like quite the night out. Read more…

Jimmy Fallon’s classroom instrument covers are the stuff of legend, with the likes of the Backstreet Boys and Ed Sheeran giving those mini-xylophones a good tapping.
Joining the fray on Monday night was Shawn Mendes, whose 2016 hit “Treat You Better” just had to be covered by The Roots and Fallon in another edition of the segment.
Mendes, lucky for him, only needs his incredible voice and a set of silver spoons to deliver his performance. He makes it look so dang easy. Read more…

Comedian Kevin Hart being scared of things is always funny.
He’s particularly frightened of random animals, even when it comes to something as cute as Robert Irwin’s baby ostrich, who makes an adorable chirping noise.
“You know what she’s saying. I want some little black man, and all of his brothers,” Hart said on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night.
In case you didn’t know, Hart has a bit of history with ostriches, something which he spoke about in 2009’s I’m A Grown Little Man when he was chased by one.
Hart is not so afraid of a falcon though, despite their frightful talons, managing to get close — if uncomfortably so. Read more…

Here’s a fun activity: Get two friends, a Looper app, and make a doo-wop song.
On Tuesday night, Jimmy Fallon dragged out live music looping app Loopy to create a doo-wop iPad masterpiece with powerhouse singers Queen Latifah and Kelly Clarkson.
Choosing classic tune “Earth Angel,” originally by ’50s group the Penguins, and popularized by Marvin Berry and The Starlighters in Back to the Future, the trio layer up some sweet, sweet harmonies, then some deep basslines, and a whole lot of bahp-bahps.
It’s damn delightful, and could be a pretty solid activity for your next bored night. Read more…

Daniel Radcliffe doesn’t actively seek out Harry Potter memes, but that didn’t stop Jimmy Fallon from throwing a few his way.
The Harry Potter star, who is currently promoting his Broadway run in The Lifespan of a Fact, was a damn good sport on The Tonight Show on Wednesday, offering up genuine enthusiasm for meme after meme.
But one particularly generated a strong grin, the viral video of YouTube personality Kelsey Ellison at MCM London’s ComicCon, stupefying all with a casually fierce dance while dressed up as Hermione Granger.
“That is great. We need to remake the film as a musical,” said Radcliffe. Read more…

Glenn Close was frightening as Cruella de Vil in the 1996 live-action film 101 Dalmatians.
Not these days. Close was covered in puppies on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, thanks to her superior general knowledge skills during another edition of “Pup Quiz.”
Close battled Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard in the segment on Monday night, picking up a whole heap of dang adorable goldendoodles along the way.
And boy, doesn’t she love it. Read more…

Britney Spears joined Jimmy Fallon for a totally ahmazeng instalment of recurring Tonight Show sketch “Ew,” on Thursday.
Reuniting for a sleepover after meeting at camp, Sara (Fallon) and her BFF Abby (Spears) obsessed over horses and custom mermaid pillows, traded Throwback Thursday Instagram photos, and nailed Fashion Freeze.
There’s a perfect “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman” throwback, plus, they totally gave mad love to Steve Carell in here, especially for his work in Dahspackabal Mah Thrah. Read more…

For the most part, Jimmy Fallon has tried to avoid being political on The Tonight Show. But he can’t avoid it when the politics come to him.
Following a tweet by Trump which told the late night show host to “be a man,” Fallon responded to the furore in the opening monologue of his show on Monday night.
“When I saw that Trump had insulted me on Twitter, I was going to tweet back immediately, but I had more important things to do,” Fallon joked. “Then I thought, wait, shouldn’t he have more important things to do? What are you doing? You’re the president. Why are you tweeting at me?”
Of course, Fallon isn’t the only late night show host that’s been in Trump’s firing line. Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert also received scorn from the president at a rally on Monday. Read more…

Jimmy Fallon will join March for Our Lives, a student-led protest for school safety and gun control, on March 24 in Washington, D.C.
The Tonight Show host addressed the shooting at Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Monday night, in the first episode of the show since the tragic event.
Fallon took a moment to acknowledge those lost, and also the students who survived the shooting. “What they had to live through, and what they have to live with, is something that I can’t even imagine,” he said.
Fallon described the recent actions of these students, including the organisation of the march “unbelievable,” saying, “They’re speaking out with more guts, passion, conviction and common sense than most adults … They’re creating change. This is a real revolution.” Read more…

We already knew that Jimmy Fallon doesn’t hold back when it comes to addressing serious, critical issues.
But this time, in the aftermath of the horrific events of this past weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia, he might have delivered his most powerful, politically charged statement yet.
“What happened over the weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia, was just disgusting. I was watching the news like everyone else, and you’re seeing Nazi flags and torches and white supremacists, and I was sick to my stomach,” he said, tears welling in his eyes. Read more…

Those vaguely country and western disguises meant to conceal Miley Cyrus and Jimmy Fallon might not have been that effective, but then again, when would you ever get to see these two busk in a subway station?
The pair performed Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” and Cyrus’ “Party In The U.S.A.” in New York City’s 50th Street station, pulling a crowd who knew exactly what was going on.
Still pretty cool though. Read more…

Falling somewhere between charades and the mannequin challenge, the brains behind The Tonight Show have come up with a new game for Jimmy Fallon and his guests to play: Humannequins.
Queen Latifah, Fred Armisen, Flaming Lips lead singer Wayne Coyne and Fallon himself got to awkwardly move each other’s body parts around in an attempt to depict the people, movie or thing written on their clue. It was surprisingly delightful watching Fallon force Armisen to his knees in an attempt to stage a “marriage proposal.”
Humannequins could just be the next hilarious thing to make it into your own game night. Read more…
