The Daily Show‘s Trevor Noah interviewed Colbert on the quintessential elements of a late night show in the age of Trump — especially how they check in with the president’s latest antics on Twitter, or “the national nanny cam.”

Stephen Colbert Now it’s Trevor Noah’s turn.
Just days after The Daily Show ‘s child separation policy, on Wednesday night, Noah called BS on Trump’s new executive order to halt the separation of migrant families crossing the U.S. border.
The order, signed after immense pressure and public outrage, essentially changes, but doesn’t fix, the humanitarian crisis Trump’s own administration created. “Trump right now is if Superman threw a meteor at the Earth and then stopped it himself,” said Noah. “Everyone’d be like, ‘Thanks, I guess?'”

Daily Show host Trevor Noah believes Donald Trump’s press conference on Wednesday – the president-elect’s first in around six months – gave us more than enough reason to be scared.
He found many issues in Trump’s wild press conference, like when Trump prattled on about his ability to run his business and the country if he chose to, which Noah found disturbing enough.
But maybe the biggest decry to the president-elect came when Noah ended his segment by focusing on Trump’s shouting match with CNN’s Jim Acosta, who was trying to ask the president-elect a question after Trump attacked his news organization. Read more…
