Leee John visits SOS Children in France

On Wednesday 4th June, the children and staff of SOS Children's Village Marseille received a surprise visit from jazz musician Leee John. Leee was in France on a whirlwind national tour and kindly took time out from his busy schedule to spend time at the Village to play with the children and distribute signed photographs. He was in France on his sell-out tour; 'Jazz Show' and spent a month touring all over the country including playing in Paris, Toulouse and Marseille.
The children and staff were extremely happy to see him and Bernard Roset, the Village Director, said "Leee spent time with our children and was very kind and sensitive. He visited a family house and even gave some of our older children tickets for his show. We were so happy to see him."
SOS Children's Village Marseille is the largest SOS Village in France and cares for more than 60 children. SOS Children started working in France in 1956 and there are now 13 SOS Children's Villages, one SOS Youth Home and two SOS Vocational Training Centres.
Leee John continues to support SOS Children in many ways and has just released his new book; 'From Within the Heart' which describes his experiences whilst visiting SOS Children South Africa in 2005. The book can be bought online at Amazon with proceeds going directly to SOS Children.
