TL;DR: As of May 10, you can take 26% off the price of the CARSULE Pop-Up Cabin and get it for $279.99 instead of $379.

Don’t just use your limited car space for your road trip adventures this season. Open up a world of possibilities with the Carsule — a pop-up tent that attaches to your car.

Brought to life via the $17k raised on Kickstarter, the Carsule is an excellent addition to your spring and summer travel plans. It securely attaches to the rear door of your car, crossover, van, or SUV (basically any vehicle that has a swing-up tailgate) using an adjustable anchor strap and offers a 6.5-foot space tall and wide enough to hang out in when you’re not driving.

The tent gets its shape and stability from being anchored to the car, which also means the setup isn’t as complicated. There are diagonal ceiling tension lines to help prevent shear deformation. They also serve as a sturdy and effective way to hang things from the ceiling — lights for ambiance, wet clothes after a day at the beach, a fan for cooling in the summer, etc. The tent itself is also waterproof for surprise rainstorms and UV-resistant for sun protection.

In case you need a visual, here you go:

The Carsule can have many configurations. It’s great for setting up a date night under the stars, complete with a projector and air mattress, kicking back in nature without going full-on primitive camping. You’ll have a place to take a nap half-way through your road trip, or even an outdoor office that shields you from the sun and keeps the bugs away.

It’s regularly $379, but for a limited time, you can buy it on sale for $279.99. That’s 26% in savings and $20 less than it was just a couple of months back. It’s not the lowest price we’ve seen, but it’s definitely a great deal.

Prices subject to change.
