If Chris Hemsworth asked you to participate in an experimental drug study, what would you say?

Well, if you’re any of the inmates at the state-of-the-art penitentiary in Netflix’s Spiderhead, you don’t have much of a choice. In the upcoming sci-fi thriller, prisoners have the possibility to shave time off their sentence by participating in a study run by visionary Steve Abnesti (Hemsworth). Subjects like Jeff (Miles Teller) and Lizzy (Jurnee Smollett) agree to be injected with mind-altering substances that drastically change their emotions, but quickly come to suspect the study of having a sinister purpose — you know, beyond forcing prisoners to participate in unethical experiments.

Directed by Top Gun: Maverick helmer Joseph Kosinski and penned by Deadpool scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Spiderhead promises to be a thrilling ride.

Spiderhead hits Netflix June 17.
