How to order a third round of free at-home COVID test kits

On Tuesday, the Biden Administration announced that it would be offering free at-home COVID test kits for the third time.

U.S. households are now eligible to order up to eight test kits by going to the website covid.org/tests and following the order instructions in the site. It should only take a few moments to complete.

The announcement follows a recent spike in COVID-19 cases. “As the highly transmissible subvariants of Omicron drive a rise in cases in parts of the country, free and accessible tests will help slow the spread of the virus,” read the statement.

The website is part of the commitment President Biden made in January 2022 to make one billion free at-home COVID tests available to the public. Since the initiative launched, approximately 350 million tests have been delivered, mostly by the U.S. Postal Service. Tests were purchased by the federal government “funding from the American Rescue Plan,” the statement continues.
