SAVE UP TO $54.99: Amazon will give you a free Sengled Multicolor Bluetooth Smart Bulb (worth $14.99) when you buy an Echo for $59.99 or an Echo Dot for $19.99 as of July 6. That means savings of 48% and 69%, respectively.

Giving away freebies with the purchase of an Echo device is a classic move from Amazon‘s Prime Day playbook — but this year, you don’t have to wait until actual Prime Day to score.

As of July 6, Prime members can snag a free Sengled smart bulb worth $14.99 when they order a fourth-generation Echo or Echo Dot (which are both conveniently sitting at record-low prices of $59.99 and $19.99, respectively). Either Alexa-enabled speaker can be used to control the lightbulb once it’s plugged in, making this a nice little starter kit for anyone new to the whole “smart home” thing.

Not sure which speaker is the better choice for you? Here’s a quick overview:

  • Powered by a speedy AZ1 Neural Edge processor, the Echo (released in 2020) features rich Dolby Stereo sound, a built-in smart home hub that works with Zigbee devices, and a sleek, spherical design with a fabric finish. 60 bucks is a return to its all-time low price from last Black Friday (it typically retails for $99.99), and it’s hard to see it getting any cheaper. Get it if you want a premium smart speaker with great sound.

  • The Echo Dot (also released in 2020) is a miniature version of the standard Echo that scraps the Dolby processing and Zigbee hub. You still get hands-free voice control and decent sound, though. At just $19.99 ahead of Prime Day (normally $49.99), it’s never been this cheap before. Get it if you want an entry-level smart speaker with a low price tag.

You’ve got until the end of the day on Wednesday, July 13 (the second half of Prime Day) to make up your mind and hop on the free Sengled smart bulb deal.
