“I think this is going to be a piece of fucking cake…so try me.”
It’s fair to say that Lizzo starts off First We Feast’s Hot Ones full of confidence, and as the challenge progresses — despite the heat of the 10 wings escalating rapidly, and the spice levels building — that confidence remains mostly intact.
Over the course of the 25 minute episode, Lizzo (between occasional deep breaths) talks about her early days in Minneapolis, her shapewear line Yitty, and her new album Special.
Mostly, though, she just constantly comes out with brilliant lines, from, “I might be, like, the greatest of all time. Because this is nothing,” to, “I’m so bad at picking singles for myself, because I think everything I do is incredible.”
She’s not wrong.
