Description

The "$1000 Fine For Littering" sign is a common sight along rural en:highways and en:freeways in the en:U.S. state of en:California. However, it may be somewhat misleading, as $1000 is actually the maximum fine and is applicable only to repeat offenders. The minimum fine for a first-time offense is $100.
