World Wind

This view is: worldwind://goto/world=Mars&lat=68.21883&lon=234.250778&alt=4400000&dir=0&tilt=0

There appears to be a minor datum shift or image registration error between the JPL landing site geological map and the MOLA images on World Wind. The former has the crater Heimdall centred near 68.3°N, 235.9°E, the latter near 68.3°N, 235.45°E. Assuming that the lander coordinates ( 68.21883°N, 234.250778°E; IAU 2000 datum) match the JPL map datum, a closer oblique World Wind view of the corrected lander location is: worldwind://goto/world=Mars&lat=68.21883&lon=233.800778&alt=36000&dir=-8&tilt=60 (intended for view with the "MOLA Colour (ASU)" imagery with vertical exaggeration 1.0).
