Description
English: Phoenix Mars spacecraft's MET weather mast on the surface of Mars, as imaged by Phoenix at Sol 2, day 3 after landing to show the tell-tale at 2.3 metre height that indicates wind-strength and direction. This image is a crop and selected gamma 4.01 enhancement of the full image to show the tell-tale reflected in the rectangular mirror: the diagonal black cross is a reflection of the horizontal cross at the top of the thin tube with white dots to indicate wind-strength. The view is approximately South-West, and the tell-tale appears blown towards the camera, which indicates the wind is from the North East.

The telltale was made by Denmark's Aarhus University.
