Description	English: The picoplankton green alga Ostreococcus (Prasinophyceae, Chlorophyta) strain RCC 143 observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Ostreococcus is the smallest known free living eukaryote with an average size of 0.8 µm. Français : L'algue verte picoplanctonique Ostreococcus (Prasinophyceae, Chlorophyta) souche RCC 143 observée par microscopie électronique en transmission (MET). Ostreococcus avec une taille moyenne de 0,8 µm est le plus petit eucaryote libre connu à ce jour.
