Toronto, Ontario, Canada: construction of the TTC's Yonge Street subway in 1949. Looking south on Yonge from near Albert Street toward Queen Street. The large building at middle distance on the right is the Eaton's department store, replaced by the Toronto Eaton Centre in 1977. The Loew's cinema became the Elgin Theatre in 1989.
