Summary
This image demonstrates partial elimination of a row using Analysis in Sudoku. It is written in superscript notation, with all possible values for the squares as the superscripts. There are three squares in the row which contain a combination of three possible numbers only: 4, 6, or 8. If 4, 6, or 8 were written in any square where they're red, it would be impossible to complete the squares where they're blue. Therefore, the numbers in red can be erased.
Another way of analysis would be to look at the black numbers. The third square from the left contains the numbers 1 and 9. The last square on the right contains the numbers 1 and 9. No other squares contain the numbers 1 and 9 therefore, these two squares must contain either 1 or 9 and all other numbers (the red ones) can be removed as candidates.
