 Summary
A Tripsacum grass (big) and an annual teosinte (small), according to one theory the species hybridized to create maize (though the idea that Tripsacum was involved is now apparently discredited). Jardín Etnobotánico (Ethnobotanical Garden), en:Oaxaca, Oaxaca, Mexico, June 2005. Sorry, I didn't check what species or varieties they were; the identification is according to William Sullender, who saw the same plants. I hope someone identifies them to species (or gets a better picture). — JerryFriedman 21:26, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
